Referera till YouTube?/Cite a YouTube Clip?

Att korrekt citera källor är ibland svårt särskilt när det rör sig om källor på nätet. MLA handboken har    ingen information om hur man citerar YouTube klipp men man kan hitta följande exempel i Diana      Hackers A Writers Reference: Murphy, Beth.  “Tips for a Good Profile Piece.”  Project:  Report.      YouTube, 7 Sept. 2008.  Web.  19 Sept. 2008

Karriärnätverk!/Career network!

Sveriges högskolor och universitet har bildat ett nätverk för att utbyta idéer och erfarenheter gällande karriärfrågor som rör våra studenter och deras framtida yrkesliv. I år var Linköping värd för det årliga mötet och BTH CareerCenter var där för att ta del av många goda exempel på hur vi kan hjälpa studenter med deras yrkeskarriärer. Med nätverksdagen som inspiration diskuterar vi nu hur ska vi bäst organisera oss för att nå ut till studenterna, vilka webbaserade karriärverktyg ska vi implementera och hur kan vi strukturera och få till en vägledd yrkespraktik? Spännande och utmanande frågor!!

Swedish universities and university colleges have formed a network to exchange ideas and experiences concerning career matters for our students and their future professional life. This year Linköping hosted the annual meeting and BTH CareerCenter was there to participate and find out about successful practices to how we can help and support students in their future careers. Inspired by this meeting BTH CareerCenter now discuss how we can best be organized in order to reach out to the students, what webbased career tools we should implement, and how a work practice with a tutor should be structured and implemented? Exciting and challenging topics!!

Utforska biblioteket! Explore the library!

Precis i början av en termin när man ännu inte är fullt upptagen med kursarbete och tentor är det en alldeles utmärkt idé att utforska biblioteket. På biblioteket hittar du alla böcker och tidskrifter som du kan tänka dig om ditt ämne och det finns många duktiga och hjälpsamma bibliotekarier som kan guida dig runt i bokskatten. Att läsa är själva grunden för din utbildning, eller som Drottning Kristina sa “Man måste läsa för att lära sig, bättra sig och trösta sig”.

At the beginning of a term when you are not yet busy with course work and examinations, it is an excellent idea to explore the library. At the library you’ll find all the books and journals that you can imagine in your field, and there are many skilled and helpful librarians who can guide you around within the book treasure. To read is the basis of your studies, or as the Swedish Queen Kristina once said “You must read to learn, improve and find comfort.”
